The project integration Institute was set up in 2001, and it mainly undertakes the route- decision of planned roads in whole city and the integration of municipal project planning scheme and the design integration for design project, the planning and design work closely related to the current construction. There are now totally 13 persons in the whole Office, of which three of them are senior engineers, and 8 engineers and 2 assistant engineers.

Since its establishing, the project integration Institute has participated in different times the project of Olympic Games, the expansion of Capital Airport, the construction of science parks and districts, the rebuild of danger dangerous and old houses, CBD construction, construction of track traffic, construction of landscape close off area, expressway in city, the construction of trunk roads, the planning and design work for a series of important and large-scale projects. It also participates in compilation of important planning, such as the revision and compilation of Beijing city overall planning, control rules integration, old town planning. In addition, it also undertakes along with other departments the research topic of planning on municipal infrastructure for history and culture protection of Beijing old town, the professional research for the planning of development and utilization of underground space at the central area of Beijing city proper, - the research of the planning of underground integrated corridor in Beijing city, the investigation and research work of municipal infrastructure construction of landscape close off area. Several hundreds of planning tasks in all different types has been completed in the whole institute, and some of projects in planning and design have won the award both in and out the institute.

The project integration Institute lays stress on the construction of spiritual civilization and always carries forward the spirit of “Serve the People” and provides service for both inside and outside units enthusiastically. So, the relationship among the peoples in the Office
